5 new, upcoming housing developments headed to the Texas Hill Country
Texas continues to see people abandon their home states in hopes of making a better life for their family in the Lone State State. With that growth comes places for families to begin their new starts in the Texas Hill Country.
There have been multiple housing developments announced since the beginning of the year and some have even begun construction. Here are five developments that you should look out for if you’re considering moving to Texas:
Mayfair in New Braunfels
This 1,900-acre development broke ground on April 12 in New Braunfels, according to a MySA report. The project will have 6,000-residental units in the community and will take 15 years to complete with the full build-out set for around 2037. There will be 70 acres of commercial development, 120 acres of mixed-use space, and over 300 acres of park space.
Mayfair will also feature two new elementary schools, a fire department, one middle school, and one high school, which will be part of Comal ISD. An underpass beneath the reconstructed area of I-35 between Watson Lane and Kohlenberg will connect the west and east sides of I-35. The first phase will include 1,532 homes, a school, a recreation center, and almost 100 acres of parks.
